Easy Ways to Minister to All Using Temple and Family History Experiences

This collection of activities can be a guide as you help bless Heavenly Father’s children on both sides of the veil.
More Ministering Ideas

American Fork 31st Ward
Temple & Family History Plan
2020
  1. Help members (especially youth) learn how to enter their four generations on family search and how to use it to prepare and print temple name cards. (Which May start with helping them set up their account)
  2. Encourage/invite members to share experiences and testimony regarding temple and family history, maybe in sacrament meeting or as part of a ward activity.
  3. Learn how to scan and save photos at the family history library. Invite a youth committee member to teach others about the family history apps and website.
  4. Plan quarterly trip to the temple or family history center. Open invitation to all but with specific invitations to those the bishop or ward council might suggest.
Yes. The acronym is HELP. It is that easy. Share experiences. Value family members. And save life memories to help build and heal your family that open doors of understanding. Family history and temple work is for us primarily. Just like everything in the gospel of Jesus Christ—we are the beneficiaries of all the good that happens. Be the good.

Family history is now one of the most widespread hobbies in the world. The Spirit of Elijah is influencing millions of people throughout the world to search for their ancestors. Many desire a stronger connection with their extended family. This can lead to a desire to find a connection and identity with God’s family.
Believe there is good in the world. Be the good.
