Eternal Family LoveA prophet of God once offered me counsel that gives me peace. I was worried that the choices of others might make it impossible for our family to be together forever. He said, “You are worrying about the wrong problem. You just live worthy of the celestial kingdom, and the family arrangements will be more wonderful than you can imagine.”

FamilyOur Pearl of Great PriceOur family history is perhaps the most significant hidden treasure in our lives. Does that sound like an exaggeration? Perhaps it appears that way, but consider for a moment where we get our happiness, and who it is that brings meaning to our lives...family. Why do we work all day, everyday so we can come home to enjoy a few minutes with those we love?...family. Why do we save pictures, and notes and celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions?... family. How could we not extend those moments out to enjoy now and for eternity. Family is our most priceless treasure. Getting started is easy. Of all the titles of respect and honor and admiration that are given to Deity, he has asked us to address him as Father. It is no wonder to me that fatherhood brings us our greatest joys here in this life and in the world to come. Simple and beautiful, just like this touching memory of papito. Enjoy! The Time Is Now: Youth Know WhyEach of us benefits from all of those who have gone before. Learning their stories helps us really understand who we are and where we came from. It enables us to see what our potential could possibly be. Elder Bednar said "I don't know of a greater blessing than ultimately realizing that God trusts us and depends on us to do his work." It's a remarkable spiritual. experience when you do the work for you own ancestors and you take your names to the temple to perform the ordinance work. I don't know a greater blessing than to realize that God trusts us and depends on us to do his work. It's not just indexing and researching names These are real people. This is the work of salvation...that's who we are. "Just go on the Internet and it's all right there for you." "With the technology capability that you young people have, you were prepared for this day." That for a young person in the wicked world is one of the greatest. "It's just the greatest gift to be with you family forever." "My first thought of it was 'I am going to work for my ancestors as they did for me?'" It teaches you who you are and what your potential is... With a young man like you I will rarely ever ask are you preparing to go on a mission? I will ask the question are you worthy to be in the temple and will you be next year and will you be the year after that. Are you doing the research in your own family and helping other people with their research." That for a young person in the wickedness of the world in which we live in today is one of the greatest safeguards against the temptations of the adversary...the time is now. Many desire a stronger connection with their extended family. This can lead to a desire to find a connection and identity with God’s family.
